Conrad has worked in many mediums but prefers mixed media, mainly collage using various ingredients and a hands-on process. The content for her work includes photographs, old work, journal text and other text, stamps, fabric, embellishments, and other significant elements.  Making a diverse collection of ingredients coherently interconnect represents a broader theme of "synthesis".
