Evelyn Baker Donates Art for Raffle

BUENA VISTA—Chaffee Arts is proud to announce that Evelyn Gottschall Baker has donated her “Study for Shed” for a raffle to raise funds for Chaffee Arts. This glass sculpture will be at the Chaffee Arts Booth on July 4 at Art in the Park and tickets for the raffle will also be on sale. Evelyn will be present from 1-2 pm at the Chaffee Arts booth for a “Meet & Greet” to answer questions and talk about her art.


Evelyn’s art sculpture is valued at $2500. and raffle tickets are available online at www.chaffeearts.com for $5.00 each starting on July 4 and ending August 28. “Study for Shed” will be on display at the Buena Vista Library during July and August as well as at the Chaffee Arts Open Awards Show at the Heritage Museum from August 21-29. Drawing for the raffle winner will take place on the final day of the art show on August 29. The more tickets you buy the greater your chance of winning this beautiful art piece!


Evelyn Gottschall Baker is a nationally known glass artist who has been recognized for her groundbreaking kiln-formed glass technique. Over the past three years, she has focused her experiments with the Pate’ de Verre process and developed a unique method of sculpting glass paste into dimensional forms that are fired without the use of molds. Her Awards include: Glass Prize UK 2020: Highly Commendable, “Balance”, Emerge 2018, Finalist and Honorable Mention, “Bones-Group,” Bullseye Glass Company, Portland, OR, “Gallery 144,” 2019 Best of Show, Parker, Colorado. The Chaffee Arts Open Awards Show is August 21 – 29 at the Heritage Museum Courthouse Gallery at 506 E. Main, in Buena Vista. The show will be open daily from 11 am – 5 pm. Entrance to the museum will be free to the public for the duration of the Open Awards Show.
