Join us on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10 AM - Noon for a Studio Tour with Evelyn Gottschall Baker. Evelyn will demonstrate her glass sculpting techniques using glass powders and give us a tour of her glass studio located at 831 McDonald Avenue, Buena Vista. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.
Evelyn took her first fused glass class in 2011 primarily to create components to incorporate into stained glass pieces. Her interest in fused glass became a passion which she developed into experimentation using glass powders. Her experience as a test engineer proved invaluable in shaping the discipline needed to work with glass powders and develop the complex firing schedules needed for producing pieces without the use of molds. In 2018 Evelyn began teaching her techniques in workshops at various studios throughout the US and Scotland. She was an Emerge 2018 Finalist at Bullseye Glass Exhibition.
