Fused glass butterfly sculpture. The butterflies were inspired by the beautiful Monarch butterflies that frequent Chaffee County. Creating the butterflies requires three firings to set the colors and patterns of the wings. The completed wings and antenna are fused to the body in the fourth firing. The fifth and final firing shapes the wings so the butterflies can take flight.
