I was very fortunate to go to South Africa in the fall of 2022- a lifelong dream! We went on game drives morning and evening, and several times we encountered majestic elephants in the wild. This past spring, I crafted this sculpture while using my trip photos as references. I used both black and white unglazed clays to sculpt my elephant.
