I am a Colorado-based artist specializing in impressionist landscape oil paintings. My artistic passion is to capture emotive moments experienced through personal interactions with nature.
I have been drawn to the creative process ever since I can remember. During university, I fell in love with oils' rich texture and colors and the medium's complexity! I spent 4 years sharing my love of art with middle school students, teaching at Resurrection Christian School in Loveland, CO. Now, my home studio is based in the pristine valley of Buena Vista.
My art is highly influenced by my time spent outside. I am drawn to dramatic lighting, rich colors, and emotive moments depicted in an impressionistic style. I love to capture moments of exploration. The inclusion of figures in my work emphasizes the scale of the landscape and the personal interactions held in beautiful places.

After university, I spent 4 years sharing my love of art with middle school students, teaching at Resurrection Christian School in Loveland, CO. Mentoring and engaging with the younger generation brings me great joy and fulfillment. Yet, teaching left me little time or energy for creating my personal art. Since then, my years have been filled with a smorgasbord of jobs, moving, and traveling; including a year abroad in New Zealand. In each season I have gathered nuggets of knowledge from other artists, teachers, businesswomen, and time spent with a brush in my hand. Most recently my husband and I have moved to the mountains of Colorado where we live with our hound dog, Rosco. My home studio is based in the pristine valley of Buena Vista surrounded by endless creative inspiration.
